Safeguarding
King Edward VI Preparatory School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children.
We fundamentally believe that every child has the right to learn in a safe environment, and that the safeguarding and welfare of children is everyone's responsibility in the school.
Safeguarding is at the centre of our pastoral care provision. We recognise that all staff have a role to play in ensuring we keep our children safe, and as such, all staff appointed to work at the School undergo child protection screening.
Children at KES Prep are encouraged to speak to any member of staff with any concerns they may have. Our teachers and staff are trained to listen and to follow clear processes to ensure the child's concerns are addressed efficiently. All children also have access to our qualified school Matrons, our Learning Support team and the Wellbeing Centre throughout their time at KES Prep.
