Co-Curricular at KES Prep

At KES Prep, we believe that ‘school’ should be so much more than academic lessons in a classroom, and we are hugely proud of our rich co-curricular and House provision. Across our School, children enjoy a fantastic selection of clubs and activities throughout the Autumn, Spring, and Summer Terms, while our vibrant House System fosters teamwork, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging.

Clubs & Activities

At KES Prep, we believe education extends far beyond the classroom. Our pupils are encouraged to explore their interests, develop new skills, and discover their passions through a wide-ranging programme of clubs and activities.

Our inclusive Co-Curricular Provision runs throughout the year, with more than 70 clubs available across the Autumn, Spring, and Summer Terms. From Junior MasterChef, Farm Club, and Archery to Robotics, Choir, and Acro Dance, there is something for every child to enjoy. These sessions are led by dedicated staff and specialist instructors, offering opportunities for creativity, teamwork, and personal growth.

Wraparound care is also available through KES Club for pupils in Year R–6, providing time for prep and a variety of fun, structured activities.

Our Co-Curricular programme is structured around four key areas — Academic, Performing Arts, Sport, and Social Skills/Teamwork — and continually evolves through feedback from pupils, parents, and staff.

House System

The House System at KES Prep creates a strong sense of belonging and community. Every pupil joins one of three Houses — Zeals (Bulldogs), Stroud (Greyhounds), or Highwood (Terriers) — and takes part in a range of competitions and events throughout the year.

Pupils earn House points for demonstrating our core values — Do the Right Thing, Lift Others and Keep Growing — and develop teamwork, leadership and friendship across year groups through House Families and regular inter-House activities.
