Full Time Salary - £28,260 per annum plus a competitive benefits package
Term Time Monday – Friday Core Hours 8.15-16.45
School Holidays Monday – Friday Core Hours 8.30-17.30.
(The capacity to cover some early starts from 7.30 or late finishes until 17.45 is also desirable)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated Nursery Practitioner to join us during an exciting time of development at our beautiful rural nursery. We are an incredibly friendly and committed team, working in a unique setting with stunning outdoor space and brand new adjoining Early Years Forest school site – Little Meadow.
We aim to create a magical and nurturing environment, that is full of fun and variety. From music and movement, yoga and sing and sign sessions with our performing arts specialist, sports and games with our PE teachers, and farm and forest school sessions with our dedicated and passionate outdoor learning team, the curriculum at King Edward VI Nursery presents something special for both our children and the nursery staff alike.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an Early Years environment and have good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Having a full and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare is essential.

We are seeking to appoint a part time cleaner to join our team and help ensure that the school buildings are maintained in a well-presented and hygienic condition, providing a suitable environment for the teaching and learning of pupils.
The successful candidate should be approachable, well-motivated and able to work equally well alone or as part of a team. Previous experience would be an advantage, including use of floor-cleaning equipment and CoSHH, although training will be given.

Head of Learning Support
Head of Learning Support
Part Time, 3 Days, Fixed Term
Required for September 2025
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified Head of Learning Support with a proven track record of fulfilling the responsibilities of a SENCo teacher. This role is for a fixed term of one year, and is part time, ideally Monday – Wednesday. You will be a passionate advocate for pupils with SEND, EAL and SEMH needs and be a warm and caring communicator. You will lead, manage, develop and maintain high quality SEND provision which enables quality teaching, excellent learning outcomes and the success of SEND pupils at our School. You will be supported in your role by a dedicated team of 17 Learning Support Assistants and a Wellbeing Centre Manager.

Registrar and Head's PA
Registrar/Head’s PA – 2 years fixed-term
£30,000 - £33,000 per annum
4 or 5 days per week to include Thursdays and Fridays
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the regions leading independent prep schools at a time when we are forging greater links with our senior school, King Edward VI, Southampton, growing our Nursery and strengthening our position in the area.
This is a significant role within our School and will provide an opportunity for the right person to showcase their strong market knowledge alongside excellent interpersonal, communication and recruitment skills. The Registrar will act as a true ambassador for the School when communicating with prospective and current families and the wider community. You will work with the current part-time Registrar/Head’s PA to lead on and implement both short and long-term recruitment strategies.
The successful candidate will be a warm, welcoming and service-oriented professional who can offer an exceptional parent experience from the first point of contact through to the first day of school for our families. You must be committed to growth, going above and beyond to drive admissions at the key entry points of Early Years, Year 3 and Year 5. You will be able to work collaboratively with a passionate Senior Leadership Team and energetic 2-18 Marketing and Admissions Team. Ideally the successful candidate will have prior admissions experience and a good working knowledge of the independent prep school market.
The close working relationship between the Registrar and the Prep School Head means that the Registrar also carries out the role of Head’s PA.
