An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at King Edward VI Nursery, as our Nursery Manager. We have recently extended our Nursery to offer year-round provision and our Toddler Room opened in September and is already at capacity. The Nursery Manager will play a pivotal role in the continued growth and development of our beautiful Nursery which benefits from incredible indoor and outdoor learning spaces – including our own Early Years nature area, Little Meadow.
The Nursery is an integral part of our thriving Prep School, and enjoys the extensive site facilities including forest school, farm, dining room, swimming pool and playing fields. We are looking for someone with great Nursery experience, who will work with us to manage and further develop our Nursery whilst ensuring we retain the independent school feel and quality of provision that we are known for.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and passionate teacher of Art and Design Technology. The successful candidate will teach 'Art, Craft & Design’ from Year 1 to Year 6 in our well-resourced Art and Design Studio here at King Edward VI Preparatory School, in Romsey.
The successful candidate will be highly creative and have experience of teaching Art and Design Technology subjects, alongside a willingness to get involved in the busy life of a thriving Prep School. The ability to contribute to the sports programme at the school would be a distinct advantage. This position would be ideally suited to a strong Early Career Teacher (ECT) or someone in the earlier stages of their career.

Nursery opening hours 7.45am - 5.30pm including wrap around care (Core hours 8.30am – 4.30pm) for 51 weeks of the year.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated Nursery Practitioner to join our team during an exciting time of development at our beautiful rural nursery. We are an incredibly friendly and committed team, working in a unique setting with stunning outdoor space and brand new adjoining Early Years Forest school site – Little Meadow.
You will be joining at a really exciting time as we extended our provision to younger ages, welcoming 2-year-olds to the Nursery in September 2024. We aim to create a magical and nurturing environment, that’s full of fun and variety. From music and movement, yoga and sing and sign sessions with our performing arts specialist, sports and games with our PE teachers, and farm and forest school sessions with our dedicated and passionate outdoor learning team, the curriculum at King Edward VI Nursery presents something special for both our children and the nursery staff alike.
