KES Prep Supports Honeypot Children’s Charity
This Christmas, KES Prep created a special video to thank our school community for their generosity and kindness in supporting those in need. A highlight of the season was our visit to the Honeypot Children’s Charity, located in the heart of the New Forest.
Honeypot provides vital support to children aged 5-12 who are young carers for a sick or disabled parent or sibling. Their holistic range of services includes Respite Breaks, Educational Booster Breaks, Wellbeing Grants, and Healthy Eating and Nutrition programmes, alongside ongoing pastoral support. By offering early intervention, Honeypot aims to prevent challenges in young carers’ lives from becoming deep-rooted.
The charity works collaboratively with a network of over 130 referring organisations, including schools, social workers, and GPs, ensuring young carers receive the help they need. Honeypot’s tailored approach provides recurring support for up to eight years, addressing the unique needs of each child and respecting their individual circumstances.
We were deeply moved by Honeypot’s incredible facilities and the difference they make in the lives of young carers. It was a privilege to witness their dedication firsthand, and we are proud to support such an inspiring cause this festive season.
With Christmas Day just around the corner, KES Prep wishes everyone in our School community the merriest season’s greetings and a Happy New Year.
